World Tank Museum, Fantasy Flight Games

E hei-los que já cá cantam!

No seguimento do anunciado na Press Release de Março de 2007, já foi lançada a primeira série de produtos World Tank Museum pela Fantasy Flight Games, respectivamente a Bulge Series (Platoon Packs, Single Packs) e Panzertales.

Todos este produtos já disponiveis no mercado nacional, se bem com quantidades algo moderadas. Lá por fora esta série de lançamentos parece estar praticamente esgotada (por exemplo no EBay todo o material listado tem desaparecido à velocidade da luz).

Devo dizer que já tenho na minha mão os Platoons Pack e um dos Single Pack, e como não poderia deixar de ser o livro Panzertales, e como esperado a qualidade está espectacular, não fosse tudo isto material produzido pela Kaiyodo.

Documentário sobre os "Comandos" em DVD

Documentário sobre os "Comandos"

DVD que propõe "Um Contributo para a História - 1962/2006" é lançado hoje em Lisboa.

É hoje lançado em Lisboa, pelas 17h30, no auditório do Instituto de Defesa Nacional, o DVD "Comandos - Um Contributo para a História - 1962/2006". Trata-se de um documentário de cerca de 100 minutos do jornalista Carlos Santos, com imagens dos arquivos do Exército, RTP e SIC e com depoimentos de diversos "comandos", designadamente do general Almeida Bruno.

Nascidos em 1962 em Zemba e na Quibala (Angola), os "comandos" instalaram-se sucessivamente em Luanda, Namaacha, Montepuez, Brá, Lamego, Amadora, Carregueira e agora em Mafra.

Segundo o autor, "este é um documento que, pelas imagens e pelos depoimentos recolhidos, fala dos 'comandos' e da sua História: de como se formam e como agem; do caminho percorrido desde a sua fundação até aos dias de hoje - de África ao 25 de Novembro, de Timor-Leste ao Afeganistão. E dos seus Heróis".

"Um documento imprescindível - sublinha Carlos Santos - para saber o que é e o que tem feito esta força de elite do Exército Português".

Evento Academia Militar AJSP 2007

No passado fim-de-semana de 6 de Maio, decorreu na Academia Militar de Lisboa a 3ª edição do Torneio Internacional de Jogos de Simulação:

3º Torneio AM-AJSP-2007

Nos dias 5 e 6 de Maio de 2007, com o apoio da Academia Militar, a AJSP vai organizar o 3º Torneio Internacional.

Este ano irá ter dois torneios em simultâneo, DBM (DeBellisMultitudinis) e FOW (Flames of War).

Inserido neste evento além de áreas de demonstração de Jogos de Simulação, iremos ter um Concurso de Modelismo organizado pelo Clube Modeltroia, bem assim como alguns quadros de recriação histórica organizados pela Associação Napoleónica Portuguesa, e pela Sala de Armas Espada Lusitana.

Será atribuído um Prémio ao primeiro classificado dos torneios de DBM e de FOW e ao melhor do Concurso de Modelismo Estático. Serão também atribuídos diplomas de participação a todos os inscritos.

Baseados na experiência do último Torneio Internacional (Maio de 2006) e no empenhamento das várias entidades envolvidas, estamos convictos de que este evento, que se pretende venha a ser anual (em Maio), será novamente um sucesso.

A edição de Abril de 2007 da Frontline General™ News já está disponível online. Fica também aqui um pequeno apanhado dos números lançados no decorrer de 2007.

April 1, 2007: The Frontline General Play Tester "Core Team" has been selected as described in the "Editor's Notes" section! Incorporating third party miniatures at the tactical level is an optional part of the game. This month's feature article takes a step back from rules previews and historical articles and forward into the world of 15mm miniatures painting and basing at a detailed level. I'll discuss some basic acrylic painting techniques, list the tools you'll need to get started, and then take you "From Bag to Base" using 24 Peter Pig US Infantry miniatures to form two US Tank Hunter Squads in 15mm for use at the Tactical level in the game.

March 1, 2007: "Play Tester Packs" announced in the "Editor's Notes" section. Check out a preview of another unique FG optional rule that links battle results together for groups of Units in the article "Optional Rules for Momentum". This month's feature is considered part I in a series on Anti-tank warfare during World War II from the US and German perspectives. In Part I, you'll read a historical and game intro regarding US Anti-tank Guns and their use in the game. You'll also see how one of my favorite Units works- the US Tank Hunter Squad. Armor-piercing rules and Infantry 'Dig In' rules are briefly introduced. Two examples of Anti-tank combat are provided to tie everything together- A veteran US Tank Hunter Squad ambushes approaching German ground Units and a pair of 57mm Anti-tank Guns take on an approaching Panzer IV.

February 1, 2007: The February 2007 issue of Frontline General News is now available online. With the release of Issue 6 comes a completely new look thanks to the suggestions of several readers! The new and improved style includes a magazine-style cover, smaller article fonts, and more content per page to save paper for those who print out the newsletters.

E conforme prometido, com o inicio desta semana a Wizards of the Coast colocou online as primeiras previews das miniaturas Axis & Allies Naval Miniatures, e parecem bastante interessantes à primeira vista.

Parece-me que estas miniaturas apresentam de facto um grande potencial, quer seja com a utilização das regras de jogo desta linha, ou para utilização em quaisquer dos sistemas de jogo de batalhas navais que já existem no mercado.

Trata-se do ultimo número da publicação bimensal:

uma publicação que se propõe apresentar artigos de fundo sobre toda a história militar da humanidade.

No decorrer do ano passado já tinha apresentado por aqui o Catalogo 2005 Forces Of Valor da Unimax, que apresentava varias novidades para o ano de 2005 à escala de 1:32 e 1:72, novidades essas que foram efectivamente chegando ao nosso país durante os últimos desse ano.

Agora, eis que chegam às lojas nacionais as ultimas novidades mais recentes de 2006 da Forces Of Valor, com novos produtos à escala de 1:32 e 1:72, tanto em veículos, tanques, como em aviões da WWII, estes últimos bastante interessantes.

No melhor do meu conhecimento, estas serão as lojas a procurar para comprar FOV.

Algumas pessoas pode ainda não conhecer este material - de excelente qualidade, diga-se de passagem - ou não ter tido oportunidade de o ver inloco, até porque algumas das lojas tem horários mais «acessiveis» do que outras, pelo que decidi ir colocando algumas imagens rápidas do material que vá encontrando nas lojas, quando a oportunidade se ponha de passar pelas mesmas.

Sem nenhuma preferencia especial, a primeira loja em que tive oportunidade de passar foi pela Kitmania e até foi bom pois esta loja tinha recebido bastante material à pouco tempo, pelo que aqui ficam algumas imagens para que possam apreciar o material:
