World Tank Museum, Fantasy Flight Games

E hei-los que já cá cantam!

No seguimento do anunciado na Press Release de Março de 2007, já foi lançada a primeira série de produtos World Tank Museum pela Fantasy Flight Games, respectivamente a Bulge Series (Platoon Packs, Single Packs) e Panzertales.

Todos este produtos já disponiveis no mercado nacional, se bem com quantidades algo moderadas. Lá por fora esta série de lançamentos parece estar praticamente esgotada (por exemplo no EBay todo o material listado tem desaparecido à velocidade da luz).

Devo dizer que já tenho na minha mão os Platoons Pack e um dos Single Pack, e como não poderia deixar de ser o livro Panzertales, e como esperado a qualidade está espectacular, não fosse tudo isto material produzido pela Kaiyodo.

Isto tudo em preparação para:

World Tank Campaigns™ (WTC) is a series of tactical games that employ cards, miniatures, and boards in a fast-playing action game designed primarly for solitaire, with one-on-one action as well. WTC is the brainchild of Dana Lombardy, designer of the award winning Streets of Stalingrad.

Our initial game in the series is BULGE Edition, with the second game in the series, KURSK Edition, slated for release this fall.

Germany’s last gamble to change the course of the war initially surprised the American forces, but it resulted in a major Allied victory. Now YOU play the role of a German or American tank commander directing a platoon of tanks with supporting forces.

Each STARTER Set has everything you need to play SOLITAIRE and 2-PLAYER games:

• 2 historically accurate, incredibly detailed 1/144 scale plastic tanks
• Miniature tanks are pre-painted and fully assembled and include a historical information sheet about each tank
• 2 full-color battle “boards” unique to the Ardennes and the Sherman M4A3 and Panther G tanks
• 6 custom designed army-specic dice, plus standard d6 & d10
• 88 full-color playing cards make gameplay fast and exciting

AT-43: Novidades Julho 2007

Star Wars PocketModel TCG: Ground Assault

Não contente com o lançamento neste mês do Star Wars PocketModel TCG, a WizKids não deixou a coisa arrefecer e já anunciou a segunda expansão para o jogo: Ground Assault.

No universo Star Wars as batalhas nunca foram só combates no espaço, sempre existiu uma significativa dose de assaltos planetários, com combates na superfície dos planetas. Dai o nome escolhido para esta nova expansão.

Nesta nova série iremos encontrar os familiares AT-AT, Tank Droids, e muitos outros veículos. Isso permitirá misturar no jogo unidades espaciais e terrestres, podendo ser jogados em conjunto ou em separado.

Para esta expansão estarão disponíveis os usuais boosters e uma edição especial numa lata de edição limitada:

We have some very exciting news here at Wargames Journal.

You may know that our heritage is as an on-line resource for Wargamers all over the world and each issue of our downloadable version of Wargames Journal was typically downloaded over 20,000 times. We moved to a print magazine almost a year ago and although that’s also proved to be extremely popular, we still get lots and lots of requests for a downloadable magazine.

We have therefore decided to go back to our roots and revert to publishing a downloadable PDF magazine which will be free of charge.

We are now in the process of contacting all our subscribers and arranging refunds for issues they have paid for, but will now be available to download free of charge. We’re also contacted advertisers because the reduced cost of producing an online magazine means that we can reduce our advertising rates as well. If you’re a subscriber or an advertiser – or would like to be an advertiser – and have any queries, please contact katie@rebelpublishing.net

Rest assured, the magazine will still be full colour A4 size and still include the rich content that is there today We look forward to providing all the exciting features you love, but making them free of charge again.

Tannhäuser: Video de Apresentação

A Fantasy Flight Games publicou no seu site um video bastante interessante (em formato QuickTime) que apresenta parte da história por detrás do jogo Tannhäuser, cuja versão inglesa irá ser lançada por esta empresa lá mais para o verão de 2007.

O video mostra as diversas miniaturas pré-pintadas que acompanham o jogo, e apresenta uma breve explicação inicial das regras de movimento e linha de vista do jogo.

Não consegui resistir à primeira leva de Wings of War Miniatures que tinha adquirido e acabei por adquirir as miniaturas restantes desta primeira série.

Devo indicar que a Runadrake possui em stock todo o material editado do jogo Wings Of War - se bem que cada vez menos, o sucesso tem sido bastante significativo - incluindo as três caixas editadas do jogo, os boosters de expansão, e a primeira série de 12 miniaturas à escala 1:144.
